Human existence is centered around a longing to understand the world. People want to know how they fit in, why they are here, how they are supposed to live. Throughout recorded history, and likely further back, human beings have used stories to explain how they got here, what those bright lights in the sky are, how they should treat one another, and how to survive another turn around the sun.
Yet, while story is a defining element of human existence, most people wander through their modern lives largely unaware that every single hour of every single day they are creating stories. About themselves. About their second grade teacher. About their shoes. So why is story so frequently dismissed and relegated to the realm of books, of movies, of television shows? Why do we consistently put what is probably the most powerful concept in our lives on a shelf?
Zakelro Story Studio exists to get stories off of the shelves and more profoundly into our lives. We understand that story has the power to help us make sense of the universe and understand our place in the world.
Zakelro is the creative collaboration of Rachel Zakariasen and Corvus Elrod, two wandering storytellers whose paths had the good fortune to meet in many wild and wonderful ways.
